Understanding the world from all angles...

Help End Insider Trading With ArtOne of Margo's pictures from our trip across Europe.

Strength and dignity are her clothing...

Proverbs 31:25

Author's Note: I have been enjoined from sharing the details of my true romance adventure until such time that the other party is prepared to present her perspective on the affair arrangement...Pointer

On Monday, I arrived in Europe. By Wednesday I had bought a car. By Friday I had met the woman who a few months later would end up having travelling 6,000 miles across Europe with me.

Call it an accident. Call it divine will. I was never supposed to meet Margo...if not for one man's random criminal act...another abuse piled upon humanity by a fellow human. A robbery. A purse-snatching of a purse that happened to contain a passport. An assault on the human body. One of society's bad habits that I had come to fight as an artist working for body acceptance.

Though I was born in Europe, I had been brought up from a young age in America, living in states as diverse as Nebraska, Ohio and Connecticut. I was taught American values and saw reality from an American perspective. She was born and raised in a village in Poland. She went to work in the nearest town. The nearest city seemed like the center of the world. The American perspective was not something she was ever planning to see.

Do unto others as you would have done unto you. But how to judge what we would want done to us if we've never been in somebody else's shoes? If we've never been abandoned by our mother, how do we treat somebody who has? Somebody who seems to constantly suffer the repurcussions of it? Margo and I had 46 days and 6,000 miles to try on each other's shoes. We had one car and one tent in which to hear each other's words. We learned to cooperate. We started learning how to listen.

One of Margo's pictures from our trip across Europe.

a collection of modern art prints and posters

During our trip across Europe, Margo very bravely opened up to me and to the camera. It was a difficult thing to do considering the scars that she carries. I wanted to share with the world her often joyful, often sad, often angry but always liberating experience except that the Internet is full of pictures of naked women and men and full of trolls who abuse them.

I realized that what I really need to point out is not the openness that Margo and I cultivated between ourselves, but the darkness that continues to surround us. When I censor nudity, I do so in a way that does not compromise the integrity of the human body. In censoring the photographs that Margo and I took during our trip, I was quick to notice that in those pictures where Margo was at her most open, at her most unguarded and most relaxed, in a word, when she was herself and basking in the sun I was forced to blacken her completely.

Why does our society drive people into darkness? Why can we not accept ourselves as we are? Why can we not accept our bodies? Have we truly become eunuchs? Or are we capable of defying the sickness that pits us against each other? Together we could conquer the devils that abuse us.

Whether you enjoy being nude or not, whether you've been photographed nude or not, but especially if, for you, like for Margo, it's something you never thought you would do, consider submitting your own photograph to be published in a censored manner as a form of protest against the ubiquitous presence of the human body on the internet, naked or not, that is published and duplicated ad infinitum without context and without regard for the identity or the needs of the individual being depicted.

Michal's Dictionary:
All about Lord

Capitalism describes a system of asset management which relies on the ownership of fuel.

To own something is to be responsible for it. That is to say, you have seniority over its management. To the extent that your management is not affecting the management of somebody else's fuel, nobody can force you to dispose of your fuel in a way you do not wish.

Seniority under the capitalist regime is generally recognized whenever somebody produces a fuel or is the first to claim possession of a naturally occurring fuel.

The problem with most fuels is that they produce fumes. Those fumes have a tendency to drift. When they drift into the possession of a man with very little fuel, and that man is a smart man, he will try to burn those fumes to make a living. Sometimes the man responsible for the original fuel has a problem with this. He think it infringes upon his seniority. He tends not to realize that by trying to contain the fumes he increases the likelihood of an explosion. This explosion is popularly called rebellion, revolution, crime, or terrorism, depending on the specific circumstances that are generated by the people who tend to consider other people primarily as fuels rather than as people. This tendency is not inherent to capitalism. It is a cultural choice passed down from one generation to the next. It is a choice you and I make on our own.

Appearance of Lord in The Gospel of Jesus H.

A picture of the planet Mars

An experimental science fiction Christology that makes Jesus the hard boiled narrator of his own early years on a bizarro earth made dark by volcanic ash and informally ruled by a man from Mars who sells bottled air.

It was strange not to be walking. The horses were good for mobility's sake, but, like the priests who spent their time talking into the microphones, or the ushers who pushed people into the side of the street, or the quartermasters who arranged special housing, or the drivers and baggage handlers who transported the tents, we were set apart from the crowds of pilgrims, and, instead of concentrating on the Lord and all his gifts - our happiness and peace inside His bosom! - we were forced to think about other things - in our case, security issues: infiltrations and possible weaknesses - and, instead of looking inside ourselves and reflecting on our sins, we were made to scan the countryside for potential terrorist activity.

Verse 262 from the chapter called Security

"Oh Lord," he said. "Have mercy on Your humble servant; he suffers, Lord - like You! Oh Lord! On the Holy Cross, Lord, have mercy on me! Let me not suffer so much! Let me do my work, Lord! I am Your servant. I am Yours to command. Lord, please: let me do your bidding! Oh Mama!" Jesus yelled. "Pray to the Lord, Mama. Let Him heal me. Please: I loved you always. You were always my mother, Mama - please! Lord, have mercy on me: I am Your servant. I remember my oath. Tell my father I remember: I will stop him - her - Zeus - Oh Lord! Whatever! Please: just let me go. Let me go wherever I have to go. I will do it. I will do it. I will go to Mars, Lord. I will go there if you let me. Oh Lord: let me see the morning! Let me see the morning, Lord! If you don't help me, Lord, I don't think I'll see the morning."

Verse 479 from the chapter called Arms

Jesus sang, "Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Amen."

Verse 154 from the chapter called Security

"Welcome Kinga Wanda Kuriata from the House of Orlita into Your Kingdom, Lord. Welcome her into Your kingdom."

Verse 308 from the chapter called Vows

Jesus stood against the wall for what seemed like an eternity. The man was still peeing. This was it, Jesus thought. This was meant for him - there was no denying it: this was a gift! From the Devil or the Lord, from Fortune's famous wheel - there was no difference: this was a gift! Jesus had to accept it. All the things he had ever known, all the lessons he had ever learned, all the decency that was ever beaten into him told him that he had to accept it. To do otherwise would've been impolite.

Verse 618 from the chapter called Adolescence

Appearance of Lord in Sex for Children

A drawing of a man between a woman's legs in front of another man in a hospital bed

A literature book narrated by a pair of siblings on either side of the Atlantic whose profoundly weird sexual experiences pose a serious challenge to their traditional understanding of mathematicians, marriage, gay young men and God.

ANDY: Good. It's just like the seasons. It's like winter turning into summer. Because sometimes the Lord will be very close to us: and we shall have to rejoice. But then sometimes the Lord will be a bit farther away, and we'll just go about our business, whatever business we have - until he comes to visit us again.

OLYMP: I would like that.

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 6, The Sixth Day, Part 1, Children & Education Reform, Section 2, Discussing Heaven with a Child, Paragraphs 88-89

Great tuber! seed from which blossoms man! which the serpent bites! May the Lord protect you from harm: may he lift you as you walk, that you might crush the serpent. O Lord! protect our heels: let not the weight of gravity harm them. Let them glide across the earth fearing no evil, no serpents, no stones to bash them. Let them be as beautiful as that woman's heel. It glided across the road of my dream, casting small, delicate shadows.

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 2, The Second Day, Part 1, Labor & Economic Reform, Section 22, Encountering Poverty, Paragraph 56

ANDY: No: absolutely never. And that's why we should thank the Lord for putting the ground underneath our feet. If it weren't for the ground, we wouldn't be dancing around the sun. And gravity would send us all straight to hell.

OLYMP: ...

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 6, The Sixth Day, Part 1, Children & Education Reform, Section 2, Discussing Heaven with a Child, Paragraphs 36-37

End this agitato. End this agitato. End this crescendo, diminuendo, crescendo poco a poco reaching the heights of human ecstasy, flittering our fingers, curling our toes and floating, floating down, too heavy to fly, shattering, and falling like rain in a million pieces down, to the ground, away from God's majesty - dashing madly across the keys my fingers flying ran the crescendo up in haste: no love to feel, no love to seize, my heart dying of disease - no time to waste - headlong falling into a pool and treading water, trying to swim, trying to leave but something pulling, pulling down, I forced my way up and out, climbing but slipping, falling, and then regaining myself and then stopping now...ritenuto...oh ritenuto: give me God's mercy: give me God's mercy: give me a moment now, end me my heartache now, end me my heartache now, please give, now: sotto voce, ben legato, molto più lento: o lullaby, sweet lullaby, bring me to sleep, sweet lullaby. Sing away my fears, put aside my tears - please, the Lord and I need to rest a while. O lullaby, bring a dream to me, let me see a dream, and regarding dreams, let me guard my dreams, let me live my dreams, let me, lullaby, dream - oh, what a beautiful melody fills my heart and wraps around me. How in love I was that night! How furious were my body, mind and soul arguing with each other. But, for a moment, playing this trio, life was quiet. My heart was tranquilized. My thoughts were suspended, my soul bathing in joy. And my eyes were drinking it. They came a long way to find themselves a watering hole, and finally, the time was right - no enemies nearby, no traps to catch me - everything was peaceful. And that was no surprise: for who should be standing guard? Indiana was! and may she continue in my dreams: for she was standing in front of me like a figure from the grandest of my dreams, like she were surrounded by fog, and only her own body could escape its grayness. She stood there in the doorway like grace itself, the light from the kitchen granting her man's electrical mandorla.

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 3, The Third Day, Part 2, Prayer & The Reformation, Section 13, The Role of Music, Paragraph 6, Clauses 6-19

Then, she spoke: "The Lord is kind and merciful. He made me for the greatest humiliation. But now I am glorified. For I have done the good Lord's work: he made me walk among dogs without my tunic. But now, I have saved a man."

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 6, The Sixth Day, Part 1, Children & Education Reform, Section 7, Becoming Obedient, Paragraph 9

Appearance of Lord in Tsiga Tsiga Tsiga

Bullets whizzing by a statue of Nikola Tesla

A collection of stories featuring a sexy Parisian ghost, a spooky Moon base full of vagina-faced aliens, a policeman with an Irish name, a truck full of watermelons, a flautist, and a man who has to see another man about a diseased horse.

The heads fell one by one. Magog watched in horror as they rolled past her. She saw their mouths still gaping. She cringed. She seemed unhappy.

Gog noticed the look. He said, "If you knew how close I came to death, you would not so quick to mourn these men."

"I rejoice," said Magog, "to be back in your arms. There is no need to reassure you with wild shouts. I knew you would come."

"There is something more than dignity holding you back. I would say it were the bloodshed, but you claim to be a warrior. Perhaps the gold I have showered upon you has finally softened your mettle."

– from “In the Beginning, There was Gog,” a fantasy story featuring a warlord

Gog went home. He had lost much blood pursuing the king. He submitted himself to Mithra's care. She took off his clothes. She washed his body. She gathered cobwebs. She dipped them in honey. She placed the salve onto Gog's wounds. She wrapped them in cloth. Gog took her by the hand. He looked into her eyes. He said, "Thank you."

Mithra smiled gently. Gog returned the favor. He whispered, "You are as beautiful tonight as the day I first met you." Mithra blushed.

– from “In the Beginning, There was Gog,” a fantasy story featuring a frank discussion of what to do when you're a warlord

When the dust settled, the men gathered their courage. They found three rocks unlike any they had ever seen. Hauling them onto boats, they took them down the river to the Black Sea. They presented them to Gog, the lord of the hosts of the Matiani.

– from “In the Beginning, There was Gog,” a fantasy story featuring a woman from God knows where

"I'm sorry, My Lord," he said. "The boy is deaf."

– from “Italy Sucks and Has Sucked For A Long Time,” an adventure story featuring adultery and anal sex

"Is she the Pope that she must be carried?" asked Ferrari.

"His Lordship," explained the first man, "cares very much for his daughter."

"His wife," added the other, "is a descendent of one of the finest families of the Ilkhanato."

"She possesses," said the first man, "among her many exotic treasures, a wash painting from the time of the Great Khan himself."

Appearance of Lord in Sorry Ms. Jackson

Chiseled letters from an ancient stone tablet hanging on a wall

A real play. With drama in it. Talk fast. It takes two hours. Set in a guest house. In a small community. After a murder. Lots of suspicion. The characters learn to listen to each other. It's funny.

(LUKE exits in a rush.)

FLETCHER: Lord, what I just said to You notwithstanding, I would humbly like to add that every man needs a pension - a patrimony - a weighing out of Your Love, Justice, and Mercy in tangible, quantifiable form. Just like Thursday October, who had to bring a garden of his own under cultivation before he could marry Susannah, I too am required of a small gift of Your Grace - a modest portion of your bounty - so that I can be called Man and share in Your Fatherhood.

– ACT II, lines 252-252

(FLETCHER enters.)

FLETCHER: Oh, Lord. What a day! I'm telling you, Mother: that Australian bugger didn't look at me once - not until he dismissed me.

MS. JACKSON: You should've worn your suit.

– ACT I, lines 6-7

(LESBIAN exits in a rush. ALICE and LUKE enter unseen.)

MS. JACKSON: Lord, forgive me. Forgive your humble servant. I've done something terrible.

– ACT I, lines 1049-1049

(ALICE exits.)

FLETCHER: Lord, these events rush past me and my power to comprehend them. I pray that You slow them down at least so that I can catch my breath and maybe savor this memory of lips touching lips that almost too certainly my lips won't ever touch again - but never mind all that. My mission remains clear to me and I am focused. I hope that, with the help of Your Grace, I can make sure these things come to a nice, safe, happy, altogether acceptable, equitable, and respectable conclusion.

– ACT II, lines 231-231

LUKE: (to ALICE) I have no idea.

MS. JACKSON: I was wrong to bring her here. I exposed her to my husband's lust. I knew it would happen; I wanted it. I wanted to see her crushed. I wanted the pain inflicted on me to be passed upon another. I apologize. It was wrong of me to want that. Lord, save Kokomo from this awful scourge. I beg of you. Don't let her live like this in shame. Don't let this sodomy continue!

LUKE: Sheila.

ALICE: Did you hear that?

LUKE: If you had to do something wrong to do something right, you would do it. Say I had to bail blokes up 'cause they were all crook in the head; that'd be bloody beaut - if I had to do it.

ALICE: What are you talking about?

LUKE: Do you know what Kokomo is trying to do?

ALICE: Yes.

LUKE: You do?

ALICE: We just talked about it.

Natural + Life

Large Wall Art Depicting the Human Landscape

Life is a spinning sphere with Joy at one pole and Sadness at the other. Each continuously feeding its pair. Joy flanked by the emotions of Trust on one side, Surprise on the other. Trust leading to Anticipation; anticipation leading to Fear. Surprise leading to Disgust; disgust leading to Anger. Anger and Fear fueling our Sadness. Sadness giving way, in time, to Joy; through Hope, an orientation towards Love. Love, an openness towards Joy, Trust and Surprise; the sum of emotion; emotion amplified by others. Multiplied and divided, in equal parts. Such that to those from whom it has been subtracted, we must add. Until we are whole.
